Theme: โ€œFreedom Through My Eyesโ€
In celebration of Juneteenth and honoring warriors living with sickle cell disease, we invite youth, warriors, caregivers, and community members to express what freedom, identity, and resilience mean through visual art.

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Who Can Enter:

  • Sickle cell warriors of all ages

  • Caregivers and supporters

  • Youth groups and students (ages 8+)

  • Open to U.S. residents only

๐Ÿ“Œ Contest Categories:

  • Open to all age groups: Youth (8โ€“12), Teens (13โ€“17), Adults (18+) (open to those living with sickle cell)

  • Warrior Perspective (open to those living with sickle cell)

๐Ÿงพ Submission Guidelines:

  • Original artwork only โ€“ no AI-generated art or plagiarism allowed

  • Formats accepted: digital art, painting, drawing, mixed media (submit photo)

  • Max file size: 10MB

  • Must include a short artist statement (2โ€“5 sentences) explaining your piece

  • One entry per person

  • Submission Opens: May 13th, 2025

  • Deadline to Submit: June 13th, 2025 / P.O. Box Entries must be submitted by June 9th.

  • Winners Announced: June 19, 2025 (Juneteenth)

There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is whatโ€™s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and donโ€™t hear your own voice in your head, thatโ€™s a good sign you still have more work to do.
